Y.N.X. 716 dropped a new single Rap City. Putting on for his hometown of Buffalo, NY, which is evident in the single’s cover art. He is joined by Jae Skeese (who is Conway The Machine’s first signing to his Drumwork Music Group). Over a hazy instrumental (courtesy of USSR-based beatsmith Sproot) the two trade introspective bars of the deepest lyrical caliber.
Speaking on the link-up with Skeese, Y.N.X. relayed “Rap City refers to the level of lyricism coming out of my city. Jae Skeese and I have been crossing paths for years at this point but we didn’t put out any work together. However, he recently had a challenge for emcees to bring their bars over his track Suede Uppers and whoever he thought was the best would win a feature. By his appearance here, you can guess who won first place.”
